DX Series 3-way loudspeakers provide the output and pattern control of two low frequency transducers in an enclosure size that would typically house a conventional 2-way system. They include a single-neodymium-magnet coaxial transducer and a powerful ceramic magnet low frequency transducer. The two low frequency devices both operate down to the lowest frequencies, resulting in mutual coupling that provides unusually high efficiency and impact in the critical 80 Hz to 500 Hz range. The dual 15 inch models offer a choice of 60° x 45°, 75° x 75°, 90° x 45°, or 120° x 60° horns.

Its coaxial transducer and 75° x 75° horn provides effective coverage in situations where traditional 45° and 60° vertical patterns are too narrow. The enclosure’s 40° trapezoidal shape may be mounted close to walls or in tight-packed horizontal arrays; alternatively the enclosure may be rotated for mounting close to ceilings or in tight-packed vertical arrays.
The DX896 coaxial loudspeaker provides the output capability of a dual 8 inch loudspeaker in an enclosure size typically associated with a single 8 inch, 2-way system. Its coaxial transducer can be rotated in 45° increments, which allows its coverage to be tailored to best suit an application’s requirements, and its dedicated low frequency transducer provides additional low frequency directivity and mid bass impact. The enclosure’s 25° rear chamfers allow it to be mounted close to walls; alternatively the enclosure may be rotated for mounting close to ceilings and under balconies. When rotated, the DX896’s low profile also makes it very useful as a high output front fill system when placed on the edge of or installed into a stage apron. The US221-4 is a dual 21 inch, ultra-compact, direct radiating subwoofer that is designed to provide gut churning impact and solid musicality – not just infrasonic effects. Its 6 inch voice coils, unusually rigid cones, and innovative low-turbulence ports permit an optimal tuning to be achieved in an enclosure that is smaller than most dual 18 inch subwoofers. For overhead suspension, sixteen M10 suspension points allow either horizontal or vertical orientation. For ground stacking, the supplied vibration isolators may be threaded into any four M10 mounting points to prevent spurious vibrations and “walking”. When stacking enclosures, the vibration isolators nest in recesses surrounding the mounting points in the cabinet below. The input is mounted on a chamfer at the rear of the enclosure, allowing cable access without requiring additional space between the enclosure and a wall or stage. The US221-4 is perfectly suited for highly dynamic live performance venues and nightclubs, A/V screening rooms, and low frequency effects in theme parks. And, its small size allows it to be used under stages, built into small cavities, and surprisingly, in many situations where a double 18 inch subwoofer would normally be too large.
The CS218L is a low profile, dual 18 inch subcardioid subwoofer module intended for permanent installation in a wide range of venues. Its premium, high power transducers are physically engaging, yet are musically articulate enough to reproduce the subtlety and harmonic nuance of an upright bass or the low strings of a piano. Twelve M10 mounting points facilitate either horizontal or vertical overhead suspension. Four vibration isolation feet prevent spurious vibrations and “walking” in horizontal ground stack applications. The CS218L incorporates Fulcrum’s patented Passive Cardioid Technology™ to address one of the major challenges of many direct-radiating subwoofers: excessive rear LF radiation. Unlike active cardioid loudspeakers, Fulcrum’s passive cardioid technology does not require an additional amplifier channel or additional transducer to achieve its impressive low frequency directional control: >10 dB of rear rejection over the subwoofer’s operating range. The subcardioid behavior is produced by a meticulously conceived acoustical circuit which balances the position of the low frequency driver, the enclosure depth and volume, and specially constructed rear-mounted ports which include a calibrated resistive element. By opting for a subcardioid pattern as opposed to a pure, hyper or super cardioid pattern, the rear rejection increases when the modules are deployed in a subwoofer array. The FA12 is a portable, coaxial loudspeaker that is well suited for a variety of sound reinforcement applications. Its neodymium coaxial transducer and 90° x 45° horn provide broad coverage that is beneficial in both stage monitor and mains operation. Its multi-faceted enclosure includes a pole mount socket, 40° and 55° rear angles for stage monitor use, and M10 threaded accessory plates for use with optional suspension hardware such as the FA12 Yoke Bracket. The FA12’s unique TQPassive™ internal crossover is designed to work in conjunction with TQ™ processing. It provides the high efficiency, excellent damping, and precise directional control normally associated with bi-amplified operation, but it does not require a second amplifier and processor channel. There are no resistive components in the crossover to heat up, so its response remains consistent even at high levels.
